Our SEO service Pricing

What we offer at BIAS SEO

Our SEO services comprises of many different variables. Here are some of the things we do in order to ensure your ranking success.

SEO Audit

An SEO audit is a comprehensive evaluation of your website, the search queries you would like to rank for, the errors on the website and everything is working and optimised as it should be.

Competitor analysis

Competitor analysis is usually done during an SEO audit and the keyword research stage of project. Understanding you competitors and what they are ranking for can give you an idea about what you can achieve and what you can change in order to achieve those rankings.

Local SEO

Local SEO includes optimisation of your Google Business Profile or GMB as it used to know. The idea is to rank your website for “near me” searches both in the organic results and the maps sections of Google. Ranking locally can significantly increase your search traffic and the amount of business you generate.

Website speed optimisation

Website speed can be achieved in a number of ways. A popular way is moving the website to VPS servers which is a faster, safer and more reliable website hosting. The next method is to build the website with a fast WordPress theme and use a premium cache plugin like WP Rocket or Perfmatters. WordPress websites tend to be faster than other page builder platforms.

Keyword Research and keyword mapping

Keyword research is a process of evaluating which queries your users are typing into Google. The goal is to correctly target keywords with a high level of commercial intent and also, it should have a high search volume and low competition. Keyword mapping when you ensure certain pages trigger similar or related queries to the page. For example SEO cape Town, SEO Services Cape Town and Cape Town SEO are similar and related.

Technical SEO

Technical SEO is concerned with loading time, whether the site is responsive, the robot txt files and xml sitemap. It also evaluates the schema structured data, SSL certificate and whether the crawl budget is efficiently being used. URL structures are also evaluated and changes.

On-page optimisation

We are of the opinion that On-page optimisation is one of the most important variables in SEO. On page optimisation takes into account the content on the page. Is the information useful, relevant and help to the user? Does it answer the persons question completely? On-page SEO also tweaks the title tags, meta descriptions and such content.

Off-page seo

Off page SEO also includes Link building. However in the category we focus on other kinds of off-page SEO. We are a fan of social media signals, blog posting and citations to assist in ranking the website.

Link building*

Link Building is a necessary part of ranking a webpage. It feeds the Page Rank algorithm. Essentially, the more Quality links that is pointing to your webpage the higher it will rank in google. Link building can be very expensive when done correctly. Some links can range from $300 – $2000 (USD) per link. It is worth noting that only a few may be required. Cheap links from platforms don’t hold much weight and are considered spam.

Frequently asked questions about our pricing

Why is SEO so expensive?

SEO requires a large amount of time and expertise to do properly. It is a vast space that is ever-changing and requires consistent work to ensure you stay ahead of the curve.

Is there a minimum term contract?

Because it takes a long time to rank with a considerable amount of planning involved we like to work towards a 12 month contract. One or two months isn’t going to do anyone any good.

Do you offer one-off services?

Sometimes we do provide a once off audit however, this is an evaluation of everything that needs to change on your website and what is missing. It doesn’t actually make the changes. It is usually done when a prospective client feels their current agency is working on the website as they say.

Can you guarantee my rankings?

No, and no one can guarantee that. We do our best to get our clients to rank in the top 3 positions of both the organic maps and search results.

How many keywords do you target

We usually focus on targeting one major search phrase for a specific page. Having said that, as time goes on you will start to trigger other keywords to which we will optimise for those as well. You could potentially rank for a dozen different keywords on 1 page.

Do you do a Google business listing?

Yes, it is part of the Local SEO optimisation and if you intend to rank in Google locally, this is very important. We can create your listing and build it out so that you can improve your chances of ranking in the Google Maps 3 pack.

How much does SEO cost in South Africa?

There are many different pricing models available. Sometimes it is a hourly rate or a “packaged solution” the sEO companies opt to choose from.

Here is some typical industry pricing.

Basic starting prices for a reputable SEO agency:

Average hourly rateR800-R1500
Cape Town SEOR10 000 and upwards
RegionalR25 000 and upwards
NationalR30 000 – R50 000 and upwards
InternationalR50 000 and up

How long does it take to see results

Results can vary form project to project. Sometimes, a project needs a complete overhaul before the “work” begins. Sometimes results happen in 3-6 months, sometimes the is movement in the beginning of the campaign. Algorithm changes also impact how long things take to begin making progress.

This isn’t a quick fix, it is a long term solution. Most campaigns we aim for around 9 -12 months and then focus on keeping it there. It is also heavily dependent on how strong the competition is that you are going up again.

Remember, Google is in no hurry to rank your website and get you to the top of Google. You are at their mercy.

SEO agency pricing tips

  1. Never ever use “Cheap” services. They can do immense damage to your website and sometimes you can have permanent damage to the domain.
  2. Overnight results or any kind of first page rankings are a definite scam. Google even notes that no SEO can guarantee you a certain result.
  3. One size fits all approach is also something you should be aware of. Every search query for every business would require a different approach and would require a unique strategy in order to achieve the rankings the client desires. Our pricing method gives you an indication as to what you can expect to pay but is tweaked to provide what you need.
  4. The SEO agency should be goal driven in order to achieve the desired result.
